Oh my! It has been almost two weeks since I posted -- I am so sorry! Rest assured, though, I am sticking to it -- whole-heartedly! I have been walking between 3 and 3.5 miles every day, and walking faster as time goes on, too. I feel great!
I have lost 25 lbs total (actually, a bit more, but since I don't "officially" weigh in again until next Tuesday, we will leave it at 25). Hoorah for me! the best part is that I dropped a size. That is probably really the best thing...
We went to Virginia for Easter to see my sister. I had nothing to wear, so I "forced" my sister to go shopping with me (She is the BEST shopping partner in the entire universe!). I tried on a size smaller than usual, and you know what? The VERY FIRST dress I tried on fit -- and it happens to be the one I have on, above. Don't you just LOVE it when that happens?
Now, the renewal thing. I got my haircut this week. I thought that since I was shedding pounds, a little hair could go, too. I think a good haircut renews the soul, don't you? First, here is a picture of my family taken on Easter:
Now, this is my new haircut....oh, don't you just love self-portraits? LOL -- This is hard to do!
Note to self when taking a self-portrait in the bathroom mirror (um, I kind of struggled with this!!!):
- Don't chew gum and snap the shot.
- Look at the lens.
- Don't take pictures of the bathroom lights.
- Shut the closet door behind you so that no-one can see your mess!
- Look at the lens...
- Untangle the dog from your legs.
- Look at the lens (sigh)
Not the best shot, but you get the idea. Hey! I feel lighter!
I just want to say thank you again to those of you who send me emails...really, I am more motivated every day by your emails and kind words. Thank you for looking over my shoulder and encouraging me, friends!
Now, how are you doing this week?

OMG, I am so proud of you, and wish I had joined you when you started! I too could look like you! You look FAB!!!! and I love the new doo!
Pat! You look fantabulous!!!!!! This is the first time I've checked out this blog of yours but I'm so proud of you. Isn't it great when you feel good about yourself and are able to fit in a smaller size?? I know I felt better about myself just getting my hair cut and now going to get it colored in a few weeks.
Wow, Pat...I'm SO proud that you have stuck with it and now have lost 25 lbs!!! You are awesome! I love the new hair! Are you pretty much using the WW online receipes? I know they are good...
When I saw your new photo on your other blog I did a TRIPLE take and was wondering who the woman in the photo was! So I had to investigate and saw that you had lost 25+ pounds! Way to go! I struggle with my weight and as I recently left my 30's it has been increasingly harder to shed the weight. But I started on Thursday with BOTH a diet and an exercise program and after only 3 days I feel GREAT! I am excited to have a new look to look forward to just like you! Thanks for the motivation just by changing your picture!
Pat - you look stunning! I almost didn't recognize you when I saw your new picture posted on the other blog! Congrats on the weight loss- I am very proud of you! Your new haircut is just too cute, it really suits you! Keep on with the great progress... maybe one day I'll be in a good place along with you again (weight wise I mean) :-)
Pat,
Keep up the good work. Weight loss is truly a journey, not a destination. A healthier you is the goal.
I joined a group 18 months ago, have lose 58 pounds so far. The support and encouragement from those friends is an absolute MUST for me. To know that we're all going through the same things, that they understand my challenges and are cheering me on, is fabulous.
Congrats on your progress so far,
Niki
Pat, you look totally fabulous!! What a difference 25 punds can make! I'm so proud of you! Keep up the good work.
Pat, you really are looking great! I know how hard it is to lose weight - I've fought it all my life, so I know how much yu've accomplished! Keep it up!
PAt,
I have been in the bed this week sick and have had to take stock of myself. Not a pretty picture. Thank you for this blog. It has been inspirational! I used to be a technique junkie and plan to join again so I have been around stamping dor about six years. I am so excited for your chance to train with your FIL. That is wonderful! Keep it up
