I cannot believe that it has been 4 months since I last posted. I just can't believe it!
Okay, here is where I am...
I took off the 40 lbs. Then, summer hit. My kids were home, and it became harder to find time for myself to walk and work and do all the other things on my plate. I was able to maintain my weight loss for nearly 3 of the 4 months...but now I am sliding.
I have gained back 7 lbs. In 1-1/2 months. It is because I am eating wayyyy more than I should and I am not watching the quality of the food I am eating. I have a nasty soundtrack in my head that is allowing me to eat what I want whenever and as often as I want.
So I need you to look over my shoulder. I have the resolve to lose the rest of this weight and I need some help! So if you are reading this, please prod me, poke me, wake me up to the fact that if I do not watch myself I will be right back to where I started.
I can get to my goal by January, I know I can.....won't you help me along?

Pat, to lose 40 pounds is awesome! I wish I had some of your willpower. I know you will be able to get back on track. My thoughts are with you.
Hi Pat, Shelly Mc here! I'm glad to see the recent post.
I came across this quote and think it's a good one--
"Living a healthy lifestyle will only deprive you of poor health, lethargy & fat."
I'm heading outside right now for an interval of walking/jogging. Have a great day!
On the same road and the same struggle...I too have a hard time to discipline myself..
Just gave all my skinny clothes tomy mom..that hurt.

I started my runner's blog called Wannabe Runnergirl. You inspired me to do it. Of course, I haven't run all week!!! The thing about grace is that yes, you'll fall of the wagon, but then, you have the freedom to get back on. So proud that you were in control for so many months! Still let's work together!!
Hey Pat. Stay on traget. Drink plenty of water and walk!!!! I lost 48 pounds since I joined Weight Watchers in June. As your former VC Rock roomie.......I'm poking you.......keep working at it!!!
Never noticed this blog of yours before. Guess now that I'm on the Southbeach diet I'm noticing these things. Congratulations on the loss of your weight. How exciting! While off work, I gained over 125 pounds from my meds, but now I'm determined to beat my weight gain. I just might start up a blog on weight loss too.
Hey Pat, how are you surviving the holiday frenzy? (poke, poke) I'm in the same boat...have maintained the initial loss for a while now, but can't seem to get back on track. I have another 40 to go and am getting a little bummed out. Sometimes you just have to remind yourself to stay positive. This stinky weather doesn't help much, as my latest fave exercise is a 5 mile walk around town. I'm watching you!
Pat- as one who has always struggled with her weight I also have a little voice saying one little one won't hurt. There is no such thing as bad food just too much food! I recently had lap-band surgery August and have lost 42 lbs since then and continue to work on good eating habits. Having an accountablity partner helps - someone who understands....get your life (emotionally, mentally, spiritually) in balance and the eating right will follow: I belong to a grou: First Place Four Health and that helps to be held accountable by others with the same struggles. I wish you the best and look forward to hearing more of your success story!
